About

The New Devil is the story of Jason Giles, a seventeen-year-old kid who dies and unwillingly becomes the Devil.

It's meant to be a drama with healthy elements of humor and absurdity.  It will contain harsh language, some mild sexual content, and probably a decent amount of fantastical violence.  If that stuff bothers you, you might want to pass the time somewhere else.  I hear Instagram is really nice this time of year.

This started out as an open-ended idea.  I wanted to experiment with writing by the seat of my pants, so to speak.  All the careful planning of a novel and all the editing and revising and re-editing and re-revising was becoming a little tedious.  So I decided to start with a concept, plan nothing, and see what I could do with it.

I should have known it wouldn't last.

I do plan pretty far ahead these days, but I wish I'd been doing it from the beginning, because that would have made a few things easier.  But now that we're here, I'm doing my best to keep this on a schedule of three updates per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).  Sometimes I'll announce a week (or a month!) that will include additional updates, but MWF is the bare minimum.

As always, thanks for reading!
